The declining health of oceans is jeopardizing the well-being of communities around the world. To address the crisis, the World Bank convened a blue-ribbon panel, which recommends prioritizing investments that advance sustainable livelihoods and social equity as well as ocean health. Malala Yousafzai, the Pakistani 16-year-old who was shot by the Taliban last year, spoke at World Bank headquarters about her passionate fight for girls' education. Replay her inspiring dialogue with World Bank President Jim Yong Kim. There were so many events at the World Bank Group-IMF Annual Meetings, it was hard to catch them all. Replay the webcasts you missed, from youth employment to children's health to the economics of climate change. An enterprising business has been recycling blood from a Maasai slaughterhouse to create biogas for cooking, thanks to business advice and financing from Kenya's Climate Innovation Center, an organization supported by the World Bank's infoDev. They even store the fuel in used tires.
