Achievements of women

When India became independent,women were given a new lease of life. By making use of these new conditions, women started slowly exhibiting their talents and efficiency. Those who have not properly recognised this change are still giving a negative picture about women and their role in society. It is a matter of pity that even our mass media -newspapers,radio,television and the cinema-are not providing a positive picture about women and what they have been doing. It is,indeed necessary to take into account the achievements of women.          

In India, where women are taught to be dignified,conservative and reserved, there have been many women who broke these rules and came up in their fields and showed their talents to the world.

Studies have shown that successful Women entrepreneurs start their businesses as a second or third profession. Because of their previous careers, women entrepreneurs enter the business world later on in life, around 40–60 years old. As women are now overtaking their male peers when it comes to education,having higher education degrees is one of significant characteristics that many successful female entrepreneurs have in common.

 Lata Mangeshkar,Indira Gandhi, Kalpana Chawla, Mother Teresa ,P. T. Usha, Karnam Malleshwari have all been notable for their achievements in the fields of art,politics,science,service,sports respectively.Science and technology are often considered to be the forte of men. Nevertheless, the contribution of women to the progress of these areas cannot be disregarded. There have been numerous gifted and far-famed women scientists in history who made crucial discoveries and inventions in the world of scienceWomen artists faced challenges due to gender biases in the mainstream fine art world. They have often encountered difficulties in training, travelling and trading their work, and gaining recognition.

People always say that -behind every great man is a woman. But why can't there be a man supporting a woman to greatness?. If every father,brother,husband,son supports the women in their lives,think of how many more singers,actors,politicians,doctors,engineers,entrepreneurs will the world have?

Women are natural managers and multitaskers. For once let them be leaders. Perhaps the world needs this change .
