Women go topless to promote equal rights

An Austin women's rights group is promoting equal rights for all, in what some would say is an unconventional way.
The women decided to go topless as part of National Topless Day.
They got quite the attention.
They were at 6th and Congress holding signs that read "busting barriers to equality."
It's legal to be topless in Austin although many don't choose to express that right.

These women hope to change that.
"What's interesting is that I've gotten a tremendous amount of support from the male community. The only negative comment I received is from a women but i imagine hopefully, what we're doing today will educate women," says Kelly Rupp, women's rights activist.

Go Topless Day always falls on the Sunday closest to Women's Equality Day, which is this Tuesday.
It is on Aug 26, 1920 that women earned their right to vote on the basis of gender equality.
