Violence Against Women



Around the world, as many as one in every three women has been beaten, coerced into sex, or abused in some other way - most often by someone she knows, including by her husband or another male family member; one woman in four has been abused during pregnancy. Many women and girls are harmed by the violence in their lives. Around the world, there are 80 million unwanted pregnancies, 20 million unsafe abortions, 500,000 maternal deaths and 333 million new sexually transmitted disease every year. Teenage girls are particularly at risk. The following  are fact that violence against women :
*      Two million children aged 5 to 15 years of commercially traded each year
*      Women infected with HIV at a faster rate than men, and in Africa they exceed the number of people infected by 2 million. Old men who infect young girl at a five or six times higher than the rate among teenage boys.
*      Some 130 million girls and women have undergone genital mutilation performed very nasty
*      As many as 1400 women a day died from childbirth
*      In Canada, physical assault against women by men is higher than in other countries. according to the data recorded nationally about 29% of women had been assaulted by an intimate relationship, compared to 22% in the United States, 20% in South Africa and 16% in Cambodia
Based on facts that have been reported by various agencies in the protection of women around the world, it would require several strategies to reduce and prevent violence against women which is very necessary for every society around the world. from happening again the violence of women and girls around the world. and as a punishment to the "torturers" who commit acts so heinous that they must be punished as heavy so do not do it. due to a variety of psychological problems in the natural victims of violence is very disturbing their lives. of us to cherish and safeguard women and girls around us, in order to avoid undesirable
