Delta Women is happy to announce the promotion of one of its volunteers, Kirthi Jayakumar, to he position of Head, Digital Communications and Social Media. Kirthi has been involved with Delta Women since 2011, and has handled the Blogging, Newsletter and Social Media divisions of Delta Women, along with campaign projections on Social Media. She has managed a team of over a hundred volunteers so far, and has helped the blog grow with its views. She has initiated and managed projects, and has also learned many new skills on the job just to deliver for Delta Women's deadlines. Kirthi won the 2012 UN Online Volunteering Award, and has also kept Delta Women running at times when I had to be away. She has been able to cut across cultures and build bonds with many, many volunteers of Delta Women, and we are happy to have her as part of the Delta Women Family all the way from India. All the best in your new position, Kirthi, and we really hope it will bring us all as much Goodness and Joy!
