Jamie King talks about Women's Rights

Jaime King feels very strongly that every pregnant woman has the right to take maternity leave following the birth of their baby.

But it was her co-star Rachel Bilson’s pregnancy that meant US network the CW has yet to make a decision on the fate of hit TV show Hart of Dixie.
However, Jaime insists she’s more than happy to wait to find out if the programme will be renewed for a fifth season while Rachel enjoys time with daughter Briar Rose, who was born last October.
"It's a tricky situation because it really isn't about ratings for us," Jaime told E! Online. "It's not like a ratings issue it was more of a timing issue. Rachel Bilson got pregnant and wanted to take a maternity leave. Every woman has a right to do that. I think that everything has an impact on the ways things are decided upon. It's very interesting because our fans are so devoted."
Hart of Dixie tells the story of Dr Zoe Hart, who takes a job as a GP in Bluebell, Alabama, after her dreams of becoming a heart surgeon fall apart.
And while it’s been some time since Jaime has been on the set of the show, she admits she has a strong link to the programme.
"It's really interesting, because when my son wakes up in the middle of the night, immediately I'm like, Oh! It's time for me to go to set!" Jaime added. "It makes me want to cry because I love this show so much. It's still a success. It's really whatever the universe has in store. Either way, it's been such a gift."
